Garr Reynolds highlighted T Boone Pickens’ presentation on reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil a couple of weeks ago, and this slide really caught my eye:

Isn’t that just stunning? There’s nothing like a good locational piccie to really put something in context and, for any educated audience, a map is an excellent place to start. But – of course – there is a fly in the ointment. Apparently, the world doesn’t look quite what we think it looks like:
