I love picking up new words to roll around on my tongue and play with. It must be something in my wiring.

The ever-marvellous Seth Godin used the expression “marketing tinsel” in a post about business cliches the other day and it just made me grin and grin and grin. [By the way, I Googled the term and only found 7 hits for it so far. Let’s see if that changes in the next while.]

The only word I have ever coined is “complarrogance” – that unique combination of complacency and arrogance that precedes total disaster. [22 hits on Google, unfortunately all referring to me, so the term hasn’t taken root yet.]

Declan Chellar is taking a more formal approach to minting his own expressions. I particularly like “Looneybee.”
